Dental Implants

When you lose teeth, whether to trauma or dental issues, you may think you will never have a natural appearing smile again. While dentures have vastly improved over the years, they are never quite the same as having your own teeth. With dental implants, you can restore your smile with permanent teeth that look and feel natural. At Court Square Dentistry, we offer beautiful dental implants that will give you back your smile and self-confidence.

Unlike dentures, dental implants are permanent and look like natural teeth. In essence, they are structured just like your teeth, secured into your jawbone.

A small titanium post is inserted into your jaw in the position of your missing tooth. The bone grows around the post, securing it in place. A natural appearing dental crown is placed on the post, creating a singular new tooth.

Dental implants look and function very much like natural teeth, giving you back a complete, beautiful smile.

Dental Implant Treatment

Dental implant treatment requires surgery, and a full evaluation will determine if adequate bone exists to support the dental implant. The dental treatment itself requires several phases of treatment:

Treatment planning – Determining the precise location to place your dental implant is essential. X-rays and imaging assist with ideal placement.

Dental implant surgery – The dental implant surgery itself takes only an hour or two to complete. Most patients report little discomfort.

Healing and integration – Your dental implant will fuse with your jawbone becoming secure over the course of three to four months.

Restoring the tooth – A custom dental crown attaches to the dental implant and restores the function and appearance of your smile.

Restore Your Smile with Dental Implants

Our goal at Court Square Dentistry is to give our patients the best dental solutions for their needs. When tooth replacement is needed, we consider what option is best for you. Dental implants can be used to replace one or more teeth and are the most desirable option for most patients. However, not all patients are good candidates for implants, which is why we also offer other restorative solutions such a full or partial denture in our Long Island City dental office.
